Vitamin Restaurant - Istanbul

Located in the heart of Sultanahmet district is this crowded, inexpensive, and delicious restaurant. They specialize in vegetarian food, which is a rarity in the Middle East, but also do wonderful meat dishes as well.

You must eat here, even if you're not a student or backpacker, at least for lunch.

The experience is fairly informal, you order from behind a glass counter and the server puts what you want on your plate and you are charged by how many dishes you have.

They usually have all Turkish staples such as stuffed peppers & tomatoes, pide, dolmas, lamb, fish, stews, etc.

They also have two floors, so head to their air-conditioned upstairs because the view is nicer from there than the bottom floor.

Expect to pay around $10US pp.

Vitamin Restaurant is part of the Cevri Kalfa hotel and is located:

Divan Yolu 16
Istanbul (Turkey), Turkey
