UAE Cities

The cities of the United Arab Emirates are actually "Emirates," small locally governed units with federal connections. Dubai is the most travelled to Emirate in the UAE. The capital Abu Dhabi boasts a smaller (but larger land area) and more hometown feel to it, but still has the glitz and nightclubs of its bigger brother to the East. Other cities worth visiting are Sharjah, Fujairah, and the desert oasis of Liwa.

Abu Dhabi

The capital of the UAE is located on an island in the Western part of the country. With tremendous construction over the past twenty years, Abu Dhabi now resembles a huge metropolitan city. A stunning garden "corniche" runs along the waterfront and allows for dusk strolling and people watching. A large area just off-shore boasts restaurants, childrens play areas, and more. Private beaches sit on the warm waters of the Arabian gulf. Nightclubs, discos, and some of the best restaurants in the world also inhabit this city.

Dubai

One of the most travelled to cities in the world, Dubai remains also one of the most safest. Divided by the creek, Dubai retains its awe for much of the area's people, offering the traveller a multitude of reasons to visit. Shopping is number one on the list of many people who often stop overnight on their way from the West to the East to sample some of Dubai's incredible opportunities.
