Find a Travel Agent to the Middle East

The State of Travel in the Mideast

Peltours

Give a little background on your agency : where are you located, what is your specialty, etc.
Based in North London. Peltours is a specialist tour operator that has specialized in holidays to the Middle East since 1920, particularly strong for holidays to Egypt.

Why should people use a travel agent instead of just going online and buying a ticket on their own?
Agents have access to a great number of sources to search for requirements. Peace of mind. Less hassle. Awareness of offers. Bonded - but this may not be the case if buying a ticket, as per the question.

How is the war in Iraq reflecting on travel to the Middle East?
Bookings have seen a slow down to Egypt but are improving

What kind of clientele (where from) do you mainly deal with?
Couples, single and families.

Where are your people traveling to and why? (i.e. are people going to Egypt for tourism, or the UAE for shopping/business…).
Egypt, for tourism, including history, Nile Cruise, beach, watersports, diving, culture

Have you noticed any trends in travel to the Middle East from your area?
Many returning clients to the resorts in Egypt

Where should people consider going (where they currently aren't going) and why?
El Alamein, Egypt's new Mediterranean resort. Brand new resort, just 90 minutes from Alexandria, and only 3 hours from Cairo.

Should you focus on one country? Or is a package/travel tour a better option?
Depends on the client. We have huge numbers combining beach e.g.. Taba heights on the Red Sea, with a trip to Cairo.

How is traveling on land through countries?
Egypt is very easy, although it is a very large country.

What are the best times of years to visit the Middle East? Why?
Year round. Red Sea is warm all year.
