About Dr. Derrick Hurlin

I am an engineer, retired now, but still consulting part-time in the area of patents, trade marks and the transfer of new technology.

I live in Pretoria, South Africa. When not consulting, I am a writer and re-writer. I am a very competent professional editor - both technical and literary - and I have edited a variety of material ranging from fiction, to school text books to university doctoral theses.

I can edit hard copy, or copy on disc. My favourite is editing by e-mail, because then there is no geographical limitation to what I can edit.

Apart from 17 technical publications, I have four books self-published:

· Let's Go. You Drive. 21 of my short stories, and 12 short-shorts.
· Graffiti Wise and Witty. A collection of quotations and sayings - serious and funny.
· Seven Fun Plays for Young People. Children's plays I wrote when I was a freelance drama critic, and involved with children's theatre.
· Does God Know Everything? 23 articles to make us think about fundamental things.

I invite you to e-mail me for more details. No obligations!
