Centrum Hotel - Nicosia, Cyprus
The Centrum hotel is conveniently located in the center of Nicosia's historic pedestrian area and makes for a perfect choice of a hotel in Nicosia. The hotel is very clean, offers the much needed air conditioning, a variety of room sizes, televisions, and a pleasant staff. The hotel is literally in the district you would probably spend the most time in if you are just in town for a few days. The area is replete with Cypriot taverns, shops, and cafes. The Centrum hotel also features a quite good locally flavored restaurant with Cypriot dishes. The restaurant has outdoor seating along the walkway, which makes for a nice people-watching experience. A nearby park offers shady spots for whiling away the day. At night, the area is open late with cafes and taverns and the like, but isn't as noisy (thankfully for guests of the hotel) as the disco-laden areas of Nicosia. They have rooms available for the differently-abled, and have non-smoking units as well. The Centrum also is high tech with their wi-fi areas. Rates are fairly standard at around $90-100USD per night. For reservations and more information, visit their website at: http://www.centrumhotel.net/
