The
National Museum
Also known as the museum of ancient Iran, the National Museum boasts
some of the best antiquities and even a few cuneiform tablets. Be sure
and not to miss this trip through time in downtown Tehran.
Tehran
Museum List
A Web site that is sparse on pictures or graphics but chock full of information.
The site lists all the major museums in Tehran and how to contact them.
Carpet
Museum
What it lacks in numbers, it makes up for in wealth of quality. Persian
carpets are some of the most beautiful functioning art pieces in the world,
explore them at this essential stop. The last time I checked some of the
pictures at this Web site weren't working, but it does contain information
on where and how to contact the museum.
A
Picture of a Carpet From The Carpet Museum
In order to show you the detailed works that you can see in the carpet
museum, I've included this picture of a carpet.
Sa'd
Abad Garden Museum
A nice place to go and relax in the din of the city. The palace used
to be the Shah's residence during the Ghajar Dynasty of Iran.
