Old
Jaffa Hostel - Tel Aviv, Israel

The Old Jaffa Hostel is about 5 mins from downtown Tel Aviv and is a
great place for people who want to be close to the action but not have
discos blaring music in their rooms all night.
The hostel is located in the laid back town of Jaffa, just South of
Tel Aviv. Jaffa is a really pleasant mix of Jewish and Arab and other
types of people who all seem to get along unlike their close neighbors.
The hostel is in the old part of town which is a nice marketplace during
the day and quiet in the evenings. The hostel is about two minutes walking
from the beach.
The building itself is an old one, with very high ceilings and balconies
overlooking the nearby streets. There is a nice rooftop area for relaxing
overlooking the Mediterranean Sea as well.
The rooms and beds are clean. Unlike other hostels, this one doesn't
have the hustle, bustle, noise, and what-have-yous that other hostels
in the area have. You will still meet people and hook up with potential
travelling partners, so it's a good place even if you are travelling
by yourself.
Room prices vary and range from about $9 for a bed in a dorm style room
to $50 for a top of the line suite.
All rooms are very clean and the staff is generally pleasant as well.
Highly recommended, regardless of your budget.
