About Us...

Gomideast is a travel website based in the US whose goal is to provide travel information about the Middle East for English speaking people around the world, though our focus is on US and UK based visitors. We are a consortium of writers and photographers and as of yet do not have a brick and mortar office location (which may be just as well). Please contact us (no commercial email or spam please) at the email address on the bottom of all of our pages for more information about us or anything.

We try and provide neutrally political information, which may be difficult at times, but I think we manage it quite well. Food and sights are our main concern, and we think they should be everyone's, so please enjoy the site.

Our contributors include (links are to an article by each):

Dr Derrick C.R. Hurlin - Retired engineer and author of several travel books.

Raquel de Jesus - Middle East traveler and author.

Mike High - PhD student living in the US.

Talia Harari - Photographer and travel writer.

Bina Khiani - Travel writer based in Dubai, UAE.

Akiva Miller - Travel writer based in Israel.

and many others... feel free to email us story suggestions and see our writer's guidelines for more info

Thanks for Visiting Gomideast!
