While the surf isn't exactly Maverick's, there are some ride-able lefts
and rights out there in Dubai and Oman. More importantly, there are
people bringing their boards to the UAE, renting them, and bringing

Turkey
Moto GP to be held in Istanbul
Turkey's major moto-cross racing festivities are set to be held in Istanbul
this year. Thousands of people from around the world attend the event
and thousands of Turks go as well. You may want to avoid Istanbul during
the race if you aren't in town to see it, as the crowds can drive up
the costs of hotels and create lines at restaurants!
Qatar
wins 6th round of Middle East Rally
In keeping with our sports theme today, Qatari national Nasser Saleh
Al Attiyah has won his second FIA Middle East Rally Championship in
three years. The Qatari won the 6th Syrian International Rally, round
six of the regional series yesterday. The 7th leg of the regional race
takes place in the mountains of Cyprus October 6-9.
