largest carpet to be made in Iran
Iran will weave the world's largest carpet measuring 6,000 square meters
for the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi. The Mosque, named after the
UAE's late revered leader Sheikh Zayed, is set to become one of the
largest and most beautiful places in the region.
Makkah
a city of diversity and unity
Saudi officials want to proclaim the holy city of Makkah (or Mecca)
to be an example of not only Islamic values but of diversity as well.
Makkah is proclaimed to have one of the most diverse numbers of people
from around the world at any time, all gathered to worship together
in peace.

Free Day in Nicosia
Cyprus is going Green by making part of the main tourist area of its
capital, Nicosia, car free for a day. The government is hoping that
the day both attracts more walking visitors to the area and makes a
statement against traffic congestion and pollution.
